Marmomac 2026: What to Actually See

If you’re wondering what to see at Marmomac 2026, the honest answer is: more than you’ll have time for.

Marmomac has never been just a place to compare slabs. For four days every September, Verona becomes the meeting point for pretty much everyone involved in natural stone; quarries, processors, fabricators, architects, designers, and everyone in between.

This year’s edition is a little more significant than usual. Marmomac is celebrating its 60th edition, taking place from 22 to 25 September in Verona. If you’re going, there’s more to see than the stands.

Pantheon: 60 Stones, One Idea

One of the main features of this year’s program is Pantheon, created to celebrate Marmomac’s 60 years.

The idea is simple: 60 stone surfaces, brought together through 15 monumental columns, to create one architectural installation. Different colours, textures, geological origins, and finishes come together in the same space. Marmomac’s own description calls it an “architectural landscape” which, once you’re standing in front of it, is exactly what it feels like.

Honestly, that’s one of the things we find most interesting about natural stone: every piece can be completely different, yet still become part of the same design.

If you’re at Marmomac, don’t just walk past it on your way to the next supplier.

The Bedrock: Looking Beyond the Slab

The Bedrock is where this year’s cultural program comes together, and the idea behind it is worth paying attention to.

What happens when we stop thinking of natural stone as simply a surface? This year’s exhibitions look at stone through architecture, design, technology, fabrication, sustainability, and material research. In other words, the question isn’t only what stone looks like. It’s what else it can do.

If you’re interested in natural stone beyond sourcing and specifications, this is probably where you’ll want to spend some time.

The Ideas Behind the Fair

There are a few recurring ideas throughout this year’s program: nature and stone, craft and technology, and the relationship between natural stone and contemporary design.

And I think they all point in the same direction. The future of natural stone isn’t about choosing between traditional craftsmanship and new technology. It’s about bringing the two together.

The knowledge of how to work with stone has been around for centuries. The tools, technologies, and ways of using that knowledge are changing. Marmomac is a good place to see where that combination is going.

A Fair This Big Needs a Plan

Marmomac is big. Very big.

There are 12 halls, extensive exhibition areas, and exhibitors coming from all over the world. You can easily spend four days there and still leave knowing you missed things. Knowing what to see at Marmomac 2026 before you land in Verona already puts you ahead.

So if you’re attending, don’t just show up and start walking. Know who you want to meet. Know what materials or technologies you’re looking for. Group meetings together where you can, leave room for unexpected conversations, and, most importantly, schedule the meetings you already know you want to have.

Because once you’re there, four days can go by very quickly. The VeronaFiere venue is easy to underestimate until you’re actually walking it.
